Growing
Not so good...
Better...
The work and planting has continued. Last year I planted lots of late flowering chrysanthemums and sedum - this year I have been producing day lilies and keeping on with the sedum another late flowering plant. I've also put in Indian Cress (a climbing nasturtium)
I'm picking up much less rubbish now that things are growing. The winter is always the worst - Only the acanthus, euphorbia melliflua and grasses make it look cared for. The banking of earth because of the buried water pipes has raised the height of the bank - a good thing - but the quality of the earth is much less good. I've been making compost - and a big thank you to Mr No. 35 - I put four bags on McNeil Road and three on stories mews. lovely stuff.

April 2016
Spring is here. We have cleared up the rubbish after the skip.
Euphorbia mellifera (the one that smells of honey) is doing well.
Periwinkle in flower and irises in Stories Road by letter box starting to flower.
The acanthus have taken and are starting to get bigger.
Some nasturtiums in but not sure if they will get enough sun.
Top of Stories mews doing well too - and cut back the buddleia
We have planted Elaine's chrysanthemums - will flower in late summer
