At last the fine weather has brought on the planting. Acanthus, periwinkle and euphorbia providing the early colour. I've planted the usual meadow mix, forget--me-nots are less good than last year. We are winning in taking the planting further west on the ground that is very dry. The borage clone is still a weed that needs continual weeding. The knotweed is sprouting - I've been depriving it of growth above ground - but without industrial chemicals - or rubber backed carpet any improvement is just an illusion.
